Generation Open: Open Access Week 2014

Open Access Week is a global initiative held to raise awareness around issues of equity in access to research, and to visualize and work towards models that ensure scholarship is available to all, not only to those fortunate enough to be affiliated with a wealthy institution. This year it will be held October 20th-26th.

To mark this yearly event, York University Libraries will be screening The Internet's Own Boy, a film that chronicles the remarkable life of Aaron Swartz. The screening will be introduced by renowned Canadian copyright scholar Professor Carys Craig, Associate Dean Research and Institutional Relations at Osgoode Hall Law School.
