How do you participate in Open Access at York University?

1. Publish in Biomed Central: York University has an institutional membership in Biomed Central. This means that York University Libraries pays the author fees for publishing in a Biomed Central journal. View work published in BioMed Central journals by researchers at York University.

2. Create an Online Journal:
York University Libraries are helping faculty and researchers host journals. See York Digital Journals (YDJ) for more information.

3. Self-archive in the York University Institutional Repository: YorkSpace is York University's institutional repository. The following are some of the benefits of self-archiving in YorkSpace: preferential ranking by Google which leads to increased visibility and citations, preservation of content and permanent links to items. 4. Open Students: Open Students is a blog for students about open access to research. Open Students is sponsored by SPARC, the Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition, as part of its student outreach activities.
